About Mowogo Lodge
Mowogo Lodge is the Order of the
Arrow Lodge of the Northeast Georgia
Council. The Lodge totem is the black
bear on all four legs. The Lodge has
seven Chapters
each affiliated with one district of the
Council. Mowogo is very much a youth
led Lodge. Read Chiefly Speaking from the 2008 Lodge
Chief and the Lodge Goals
that the youth leadership has set for the 2008 year.
Chiefly Speaking
Brothers,
Mowogo has been on the rise and being given the distinction
of leading our lodge is a very humbling honor.
I want to ensure that I help bring the excitement that I feel for 2008
to you while continuing to bring Mowogo to the forefront of the nation.
The ideas of service need to continue to be our focus. With this new attention to our lodge we need
to make sure that we are not loosing sight of our purpose in the order. “Those who chose you need you.” We need to make sure that we are stepping up
to the challenge and try to make sure we are an exemplary lodge.
The success of the lodge cannot happen without the success
of the individuals. I will do what I can
to make sure that you have every opportunity to take advantage of every chance
to succeed. Bettering yourself should be
a personal goal of every scout, participation in the Order will help sharpen
your leadership skills.
With a new year come new chances to better ourselves and our
chapters. Chapter unity seems to also be
on the rise and we need to make sure that we are keeping our brothers in the
chapter close. Through good
communication we can ensure closer bonds in the chapters as well as the lodge.
I have the utmost confidence in the leaders that were chosen
to work with me this year and look forward to working with everyone to continue
Mowogo’s outstanding success. John Orr
is well organized and full of ideas, Adam Kish is very excited and ready to
share his knowledge with anyone with a slight interest, and Conner McKenzie is
ready to jump on newsletters and is just waiting for you to turn any
information in.
Everything is shaping up to be an outstanding year, I hope
to see you here.
In service,
Andrew Kastner
2008 Lodge Chief
