Mowogo Lodge
Activities
Mowogo Lodge has four Lodge functions each year and
participates in Section, Regional and National events.
Spring
Fellowship:
Spring
Fellowship is held in March at Camp Rainey Mountain.
This weekend is the first opportunity for Order of the
Arrow candidates to participate in the Ordeal and become
Lodge members. This is primarily a work weekend and
Lodge members and candidates serve the Council by
participating in construction and maintenance projects
throughout camp.
Section Conclave:
Conclave is a gathering in April of the eight Lodges in
Southern Region - Section 6 South. It is a weekend
of great fellowship with opportunities for training and
competition in Indian Events, Lodge Administration Events
and the Quest for the Golden Arrow. Hosting Conclave
rotates between the Lodges of the Section.
PreCamp Fellowship:
PreCamp is another Ordeal/work weekend held in late May
just prior to Camp Rainey Mountain opening for Summer
Camp. The focus of the weekend is preparing the camp
for the summer campers.
Fall Pow Wow:
Held in September, Pow Wow is another fun weekend with
competitions similar to Conclave and includes training
opportunities and competitions but with the Lodge Chapters
competing against each other.
Lodge and Chapter Officer elections are also held.
Christmas Banquet:
Held in early December, Banquet is an evening of
fellowship and feasting where Lodge members' families join
in the celebration of the accomplishments of the Lodge
during the past year, presentation of various awards, and
induction of the new Lodge and Chapter leaders.
Lodge Leadership Development
Course:
LLDC is a weekend long event where the new Lodge and
Chapter leaders the leadership skills required to carry
out their new responsibilities.
National Order of the Arrow
Sponsored Events:
National Leadership Seminar (NLS) is a weekend long
seminar where National and Regional trainers gather to
provide leadership training to individuals selected by
their Lodges to participate. National Order of the
Arrow Conference (NOAC) is held every other year, usually
on a college campus. Thousands of OA members from
around the country and the world gather for a week of
fellowship, training, competition, and entertainment.
