Description

Elangomat Training - March 2025

One of the most important pieces of our Ordeal weekends are the Elangomats.
This is such a necessary role that has the potential to make or break the experience of the candidates.

The role of the Elangomat is simple - be a friend to the candidates. You serve with them throughout the day, staying silent, and eating little. It is an opportunity for you as an Arrowman to lead by example and demonstrate the cheerful service of our brotherhood.

If you are interested in serving at the Fall Fellowship event or one of our Ordeal weekends next year, and either have not been previously trained or would like to be eligible for Wolf Clan this year, please register to attend training.

We will be holding a fall elangomat training session on March 15th at Camp Rainey Mountain. The training session will begin at 10:00am and end at 1:00pm. There is no cost for the training, but you will need to bring your own lunch. There will be a training portion, followed by a  service project. Please also bring a water bottle, work gloves, work clothes, a notebook and pen, and a rain jacket.

Registration for will close at the end of day on the Thursday, Mar 13th. If no one has registered by that time, the event will be canceled and an email notification sent out announcing the cancellation.

Chapters have a requirement to have 2 trained Elangomats for every 10 candidates who attend an ordeal weekend. The more people you have trained, the easier you will be able to make this.
