Mowogo.org Website Login Accounts

Over the past several years, the Mowogo admin team has been phasing out website personal login accounts. This has been in progress since all member profile information became accessible through the LodgeMaster Member Portal, and website pages and content that required password protection has steadily decreased. Over time, the number of individuals that actually login to the website has dropped dramatically to the point that there were less than 20 who logged in last year, including the admin team.

NOTE: No login is required to pay dues, transfer to Mowogo, order trading post items, or register for events. The Mowogo online registration forms have not required login for the past five years. Simply select the disired form from the Registration menu or one of the event links and complete it.

As of Monday, January 22, 2024, the last of the personal webiste login accounts will be deleted. The only accounts that will continue to be maintained are those used by a small group of admin team members that must access the website for registration and maintenance purposes. As this has been a gradual phase out process, it is not anticipated that this will cause any inconvenience for general Lodge Members going forward.

If you have specific questions about mowogo.org website login accounts, you can contact the Webmaster.

Mowogo Event Registration 2024

Registration is now available for a number of the 2024 Lodge and Chapter events. Read on to learn what is new.

New Online Registration System

During the website updates in December the most significant change was the complete replacement of the Mowogo online registration system. Unfortunately the registration software that we had been using for many years is no longer supported, and we have moved to a new registration platform that provides most of the same features. You will find that the event pages and registration forms have a different look, but we have attempted to keep most of the registration flow and required information the same.

One difference is that the registration cart feature is no longer supported. To allow registration of more than one person with a single transaction, we have gone back to supporting group registration. When you choose to register for an event, you will find 2 buttons - one to register a single individual and the other to register a group of two or more. When registering a group, minimal information must be entered for each group member (name, BSA ID, birthdate, etc.), and then unit and chapter info is requested when entering billing info. It is recommended that the group member handling the billing/payment be entered as the first group member if possible, but this is not required.

Another difference is that user profiles are no longer supported on the website. All individual profile information is now maintained using the LodgeMaster Member Portal (there is a link to the portal on the website home page.) Unfortunately this means that you can no longer login and have the website autofil some of the requried fields in the registration forms. Sorry for any inconvenience. A great way to minimize the number of registration forms you need to fill out is to use the Mowogo Seasonal Camping Pass!

Lodge Event Registration 2024

As has been the convention in past years, registration forms for upcoming major Lodge events will only be made available one event at a time. Once that Lodge function is over, registration for the next Lodge function will become available. For example, registration is currently only available for the Spring Fellowship event. PreCamp Fellowship registration will not go online until after Spring Fellowship. This limitation helps reduce some of the burden on the admin team and reduces the number of registrations made in error for the wrong event.

Mowogo Seasonal Camping Pass

Back for 2024 is the Mowogo Seasonal Camping Pass (formerly called Mowogo Season Pass). For those brothers and sisters that like to register for everything at the beginning of the year, this will provide the ability to register for Spring Fellowship, PreCamp Fellowship, Pow Wow, Fall Fellowship, and 2025 dues with a single form. For 2024 the LEC has also decided to introduce an additional incentive for more to become Pass holders, the 2024 Seasonal Camping Pass will provide a $16 discount over the cost if one were to register for each event separately. This means that if you register for the Mowogo Seasonal Camping Pass, the Lodge will basically cover your 2025 dues!

The Mowogo Seasonal Camping Pass will only be available between now and Spring Fellowship. After that time registration will only be available for single events at a time.

There are no individual event refunds or fee transfers for Seasonal Camping Pass holders. If you are unsure as to whether or not you will be able to attend all four events and only wish to pay for those attended, it is recommended that you use the regular individual event registration forms. As in previous years the only payment option available for the Seasonal Camping Pass is "Online" via credit card. Those that wish to use the "Pay at the Door" method must use the regular individual event registration forms.

Ordeal Candidate Registration

As we have done for the past several years, Ordeal Candidate registration is only available for one event at a time.

2024 Mowogo Ordeal Candidate Registration Dates and Costs
Ordeal Candidate Registration Open Dates  Event  Cost

Machque Brotherhood Day 2024

Fellow brothers and sisters of Mowogo Lodge, I am happy to announce that the online registration for Machque Chapter’s annual Brotherhood Day event has finally opened! This event will take place at Woodruff Scout Camp (31 Woodruff Dr, 30560, Blairsville), and here you can expect an enjoyable occasion of fun and fellowship with other members of our lodge. There will be an opportunity to convert to brotherhood at this event as well as an opportunity to get trained as an Elangomat for your chapter. All members of the lodge are invited to this event, but our chapter does ask that you sign up online as early as you are able. Lunch will not be provided, so it is recommended that arrowmen bring a sack lunch or eat before attending the event.

Check in will begin at 12:00PM on Saturday (February 3rd), and our lodge Elangomat training as well as our chapter games and fellowship activities will begin at 12:30PM. Camp Woodruff is receiving some unexpected maintenance due to cold weather, and while we regularly meet in the Nunn building for this event, we may move to another location on camp. After our ceremony is concluded for the day, we will have an evening banquet and time of fellowship. Upon arrival, check with a Machque representative at the camp gate to ensure that you are informed on where the activities will be taking place. A schedule for the day's activities will also be provided at check in, and walk-ins will be accepted. However, it is highly encouraged that you register online prior to arriving for the event. Click Here to Register

Please bring your printed brotherhood letters to camp and drop them off at check in!

I cheerfully look forward to seeing everyone there!

Yours In Brotherhood,

Mathew Monroe

MOWOGO - Elangomat Training!

Hello Mowogo Lodge!

I am excited to announce the 2024 Elangomat training dates! As you know, Elangomats are the brothers who help to guide new Ordeal candidates through their Ordeal during Mowogo Lodge's three annual induction weekends: Spring Fellowship, Pre-Camp, and Fall Fellowship. We need as many of you as possible to become trained Elangomats to help make this year a success for both our Lodge and for the new Candidates.

The training will last from 9:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. unless otherwise stated. There is no cost for the training, but you will need to bring your own lunch. Please also bring a water bottle, work gloves, work clothes, a notebook and pen, and a raincoat.

The scheduled dates are as follows:

  • January 20th - Scoutland
  • February 3rd - Woodruff Scout Camp, Starts at 12:30pm (Will be held as a part of Machque Brotherhood Day)
  • February 17th - Scoutland (Admin Building)
  • March 9th - Scoutland (Craft Shack)

There will also be 2 dates between Spring Fellowship and Pre-Camp, so expect those dates sometime soon.

One of the most important pieces of our Ordeal weekends is the Elangomats. This is such a necessary role that has the potential to make or break the experience of the candidates.

The role of the Elangomat is simple - be a friend to the candidates. You serve with them throughout the day, staying silent, and eating little. It is an opportunity for you as an Arrowman to lead by example and demonstrate the cheerful service of our brotherhood.

If you are interested in serving at one (or more) of our Ordeal weekends this year, and either have not been previously trained or would like to be eligible for Wolf Clan this year, please register to attend one of the training dates and locations listed.

Pay special attention and note that our first Elangomat training is NEXT WEEKEND at Scoutland. Registration is on the Mowogo Website, and it is completely free to sign up. As our brothers who have previously served will tell you, the experience is life changing and helps to remind you of the purpose of our Order. I look forward to seeing you all at one of our Elangomat trainings!

Indian Affairs Workday - February 24th

Good afternoon Arrowmen!

The Spring Induction season is quickly approaching. We have work to do at CRM: both repairing ceremony rings and getting ready for the ceremonies. To accomplish this, we will be having an IA workday on February 24th from 9:00-3:00. We have plenty of work to do; ALL ARE WELCOME!

I will send out a list of projects and tools closer to the event.

Yours in Brotherhood,

Andrew Chalmers
Vice Chief of Indian Affairs, Mowogo Lodge
