Camp Rainey Mountain Staff Opportunity

Greetings Brothers,

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Wednesday. As a member of the Lodge, I wanted to send you all exciting opportunity. Joining a Summer Camp Staff can be a life changing idea. Camp Rainey Mountain provides the opportunity for your Scouts to grow and thrive in a fun environment. We have a few spots left to join our Highly Motivated, Truly Dedicated Staff! Opportunities start for Scouts as young as 14 years old. CRM runs for eight weeks in the summer (one week or staff training with seven weeks with campers) Starting May 28th going until July 23rd. The great thing is if your Scout has to take time off, they don’t have to be free all summer long. Scouts can work for a few weeks or for all eight. We are looking for Scouts to teach merit badges or work in our dining hall. We provide all the training they need!

If your Scout is interested, they can fill out the application here: https://forms.nega-bsa.org/view.php?id=9040594

We'll be doing a zoom interview session on Sunday, April 16th from 3 pm until 5 pm. They can sign up for a time slot here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0b4dada622a46-crmcamp#/

Thanks for all you do! I hope to be speaking with you soon. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Elangomat Training at Jutaculla Day of Service

Brothers,

I would like to remind you all of the upcoming Elangomat Training at Rotary this Saturday (4/1/23). This is our fourth opportunity to get trained before Pre-Camp, and we need as many trained Elangomats as possible for our Ordeal weekends in order for it to be a success. Being a member of the Elangomat Corps is an excellent opportunity for all of you to fulfill your obligation of cheerful service to others. It is also a requirement for all present Lodge Officers and Chapter Chiefs as well as a requirement for anyone hoping to become a future Lodge Officer or Chapter Chief.

As a reminder, you only need to attend one training to Elangomat at either Ordeal event.

In addition if you want food to be provided for you and receive a patch you will also need to register for The Jutaculla Day of Service. After the Elangomat Training has ended you will be able to join The Jutaculla Chapter for the remainder of their service day.

If you want to do that, you will have to register for BOTH the Elangomat Training and The Jutaculla Day of Service.

Elangomat Training Registration

Jutaculla Service Day Registration

The training will begin at 9:00 am and end at 1:30 pm as usual.
Wear work clothes and bring work gloves, a water bottle, your own lunch (Unless you register for The Day of Service), and rain gear if warranted.

As a reminder here is a list of the remaining Elangomat training dates!

  • April 1st - Camp Rotary
  • May 13th - Scoutland (Admin Building)

Thank you all so much!

Spring Fellowship Check-In Procecdure

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

Spring Fellowship is two days away and we are very excited for this weekend of fellowship and service. Here is the check-in procedure for when you arrive on Friday night between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Members and Candidates will arrive in the parking lot and head to admin. There will be a member outside of the admin building directing everyone to leave their gear outside while they go inside for check-in. Everyone will bring their necessary paperwork inside where there will be labeled tables with what paperwork goes where. Be sure you all stop by the check-in table itself so we can make sure everyone is accounted for. After turning in your paperwork, you will head back outside, collect your gear and either head to your chapter campsite or wait on the admin porch to be assigned to a clan. If anyone has any questions, feel free to reach out.

Please be sure you check-in and we cannot wait to see everyone on Friday!
