Mowogo Lodge CRM Service Thank you

Dear Brothers,

I hope that all of you are doing well!! School is out or close to being out and summer is here!! Camp Rainey Mountain summer camp is less than two weeks away from starting, and camp is closer to being ready thanks to your service.

The Order of the Arrow is built around being “The Brotherhood of Cheerful Service,” also known as Wimachtendienk Wingolauchsik Witahemui. Mowogo Lodge has fulfilled this by serving the Northeast Georgia council, its properties, and communities. Thanks to your service the campers and staff at Camp Rainey Mountain will have a much better experience this summer. For some campers this may be their first camping experience, and through your work we have given them a prettier camp to foster their first scouting memories.

From your service, camp is nearly ready!! We recorded a total of 1,476 service hours at Spring Fellowship, and 1,080 service hours at Pre-Camp, adding to a total of 2,556 total service hours to Rainey Mountain. I have heard many thanks from the CRM staff, and also from our camp director, Mr. Parham. Through your service you have lightened the workload of the rangers and staff this summer.

If you just completed your ordeal, I want to congratulate you!! As our Vice-Chief of Membership, Alex Sutter, said to you, it is the start of your story in the Order of the Arrow. You have completed your journey, and now the benefits and opportunities following your ordeal are open to you!! If you have any questions about the opportunities offered to you, please feel free to reach out and I will be happy to show you!!

I hope that you all have a great summer! Whether your adventures be near or far, I hope that you have fun and stay safe. If you need me at any point this summer feel free to contact me!

Again, thank you for your work, and thank you for being the reason why Mowogo Lodge is the best lodge!!!!

Joseph E. McGahee

Pre-Camp Check-in Procedure

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

We are a week and a half away from Pre-Camp and we are all thrilled to have all of you joining us at Camp Rainey Mountain for a weekend of service and fellowship. Please read this email carefully so you know what you need to do when you arrive.

Members and Candidates will arrive in the parking lot between 6:30-9:00 p.m. and head to admin. Please drop all of your gear outside on Admin’s porch before going inside. Everyone will bring their Medical Form Part A and B, along with their YPT if necessary, inside where there will be labeled tables with what paperwork goes where. If you turned all of your paperwork in at Spring Fellowship 2023, you do not need to turn it in again but you still need to come inside admin to check-in. Be sure you all stop by the check-in table itself so we can make sure everyone is accounted for. After turning in your paperwork, you will head back outside, collect your gear and members will head to their chapter campsite while Candidates will wait on the admin porch to be assigned to a clan.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out and ask. We are very excited and will see you on the 19th!

Yours in Service,

Caroline "Kit-Kat" Davis
Vice Chief of Administration, Mowogo Lodge
